First Treatments...

Tom went for his first treatments today.  The first dose of the Avastin took about 1 1/2 hours by IV and then they put the pump on him.  He will wear the pump for 42 days while it infuses the 5-FU drug.  This afternoon he had his first radiation treatment.  It all went well and so far he has not had any ill effects.  His radiation treatments will be 5 days a week for 6 weeks.  All the treatments are at the Murfreesboro office of Tennessee oncology.
