More Details...

Hi Everyone,

First of all I have to say that we are extremely overwhelmed by the messages of encouragement and thanksgiving from all of you! We know that God is going to use this experience in a mighty way and just cannot wait to see how! Your prayers have been felt by us and answered by our Father.

Tom came through the surgery with flying colors (UT orange and white, I do believe). The doctor was able to remove the tumor. He said that the treatments had reduced the tumor and it was about the size of half of a softball. He was able to resection the colon so that a colostomy was NOT necessary. He is resting, somewhat, now. Not really able to sleep but drifting in and out. They say he will be able to sit in a chair and most likely be up a bit tomorrow. We will be here through the weekend and will hopefully come home the first part of the week, if all goes well.

Again, we appreciate the emails, texts, and phone calls of encouragement and most importantly the prayers. You can comment on the blog also if you like! We will read it all!!. Well, I will read it and save it for Tom for later and then put it in our scrapbook.
