Good news!!! The CAT & PET scans show that the cancer has not spread! However, due to the fact that those 4 lymph nodes showed cancerous, Tom still has to have the 6 months of chemo. He started today. The infusion IV part of the treatment was about 4 hours long. Then they gave him the pump to wear for 2 days. He will get that taken off on Friday.
He did fine through the treatment and has been fine the rest of the night. Please continue to pray for him as he goes through these treatments. They will be very aggressive. The insurance has agreed to pay for the most aggressive drug which is a big praise! The Dr. really wanted him to be able to have this drug. It is the one that he took in the clinical trial.
Again, we truly appreciate your prayers and all the encouragement. It will help this six months go by more quickly!
