Over the last 10 years or so, we have learned that God only reveals part of His plan for us as we are ready for it. Had we known ahead of time what we would have faced since we have moved back to Tennessee, I am not sure we would thought we were up to it. God, in His infinite wisdom, thought differently. Now, once again, He is taking us into a different season.
As everyone who knows us is aware, we have a very special place in our hearts for new church starts. Watching God grow a church is just the most awesome thing! Over the past 10 weeks or so, we have prayed and sought the council of our pastor and other friends. We sensed the “stirring” of God and have been seeking God to find out what He has in store for us. I guess by now you know that we are telling you about a change in our life!!
We have some dear, longtime friends that started a church here in Shelbyville about 2 years ago. As we searched for what God was doing in our life, we kept coming back to these friends and their church. So we just wanted to share with you that God has called us to be a part of New Beginnings Baptist Church. As always we appreciate your prayers!

Praying, friends, as you make this change; always a hard thing. BUT, to be in a "new" work and the excitement of that, well, we've all been there also and remember it well, and the sheer passion and drive for ministry to our Lord that comes with it.
ReplyDeleteIt's not that others where we are/were don't need us, but the refreshment that the Lord gives to step into something new that we can pass to others in a different setting. Excitement in new journeys for us, brings new energy that expands His Kingdom. To God be the Glory for what you're about to do!
We pray for you and will be excited/anxious to hear all about it. Is location close-by? Move involved? God will be in all the details, and I know you are being sent out with much love from your home church! Love to you both.....
Well, as we know, the Lord will bless that church greatly b/c of you guys being led there! We love you guys and are REALLY excited at the days ahead to hear how He's working there with the Murphree's and the other members! Hope to see you soon!!
