10 down, 2 to go...

Yesterday was Tom's 10th treatment so that leaves 2 more.  He did ask Dr. Mainwaring yesterday if 12 was a magic number.  Dr. Mainwaring says that all the data is based on 12 treatments so yes 12 is the magic number, so on we go.

This last treatment has pretty much zapped all of his strength.  He is working at home now and will be for at least the next 4 to 6 weeks.  The good thing is that he has not had the most common side effects of chemo that most people have (extreme nausea and hair loss) but he does feel really bad and really tired.

We have had several visitors and cards this week and that has been nice.  It has been a while since we have seen a lot of you.  We have intentionally not exposed Tom to groups at church, etc. due to the flu and all the various viruses going around.  I am exposed to so much at work, we are trying not to take chances that we don't have to.  That has left us rather secluded.

We have some great news to share!  Zeke has accepted a position as Youth & Music Pastor at First Baptist Church in Carthage, TN.  His first day was this past Monday, March 1st.  This coming Sunday will be his first Sunday.  Layne will finish out the year teaching 1st grade at Liberty here in Shelbyville.  They have found a house to buy and are in the process with that.  We are very excited for them!  Please keep them in your prayers also.

Continue to pray for Tom's strength and healing!
