Another question....

Ohana Church


If you click on the name of the church above you will see that it is the link to the blog for the church that God has birthed in our children's lives, Ohana Church.  Last week, Layne & Zeke attended "Launch", a church planter assessment held at Hope Church in Las Vegas.  They have received word that they did pass the assessment!  The next step is for them to move back to Las Vegas at the first of August for training and then on Hawaii.  You can read the specifics of where they will be and how you can pray for them on their blog.


The question that I keep getting is, "Are you and Tom okay with this?"  The answer is an resounding YES!  How can we not be okay with our children listening to the call God has on their life?  Everything they have been taught has led them to this point and there are so many of you that have played such a huge role in shaping their lives!  They were taught to put their "Yes on the table" unconditionally and they have done that.  


Yes, there are all the normal concerns of your children moving thousands of miles away but we have the peace and assurance that God will take care of them just as He did us when we moved to Las Vegas 11 years ago.  There will be challenges but there will be blessings that far outweigh those challenges. 


We would very much appreciate your prayers and support of our children.  You can follow their blog to see their prayer requests and keep up with the progress.  You can talk with your pastor (if you are not the pastor) about inviting Zeke to share their vision in the coming year that they have for the people of Hawaii and how you and/or your church can be a part of it!  


To our Vegas friends....please love on our children since we cannot be there in person!  We hope to come and visit after they get there and cannot wait to see each and every one of you again.
